How Wide Spread Are Sales Jobs?

With a shaky economy, traditional sales jobs are a little more difficult to find than they once were. Many companies such as furniture stores and other upper end sales companies have cut back their staff to the bare bones. While there are still sales jobs available to be had, it may take some dedication and searching to find them. However, the good news is that there is one area where sales jobs are actually growing and becoming more wide spread, and that is telesales.
Why Are Telesales Jobs Growing
Ironically, one of the reasons that telesales jobs are growing is because of the economy. Businesses have had to begin thinking outside the box in order to make a profit and even keep their businesses afloat. With fewer customers coming to them, businesses needed to find a cost effective way to go to the customers. Telesales, prove to be both a cost effective and beneficial way to make sales.
While some larger corporations and companies have been using telesales to increase their business for awhile now even establishing or hiring call centres to create sales or at least leads, smaller businesses have now jumped on the band wagon. Those that simply can't afford the cost of the call centres have begun using work at home telesales personnel.

What Kinds of Telesales Jobs Are Available
There are a variety of Telesales jobs available for those who are trained in such sales and even some openings for those with little or no training. These jobs vary in pay, duration and even benefits depending on skill set, need and where you live and work.

Telesales jobs from call centres usually pay an hourly wage offer some benefits and some even offer commissions to top sellers as an incentive for boosting sales. Working at a call centre is usually the most lucrative of the telesales jobs available and workers can earn a good starting wage.

Outsourced telesales jobs to home workers is the fastest growing part of the telesales field and both large and small companies are taking advantage of the lower costs associated with using work from home telesales personnel. Not only do companies save on office space and purchasing computers, but, most at home telesales personnel get paid purely by commission and get no benefits. This means that if the worker does not make a sale they do not get paid. Obviously, this saves companies using at home telesales people a lot of money but, it also can be lucrative for great telemarketers who can really rake in the sales.

There are also a growing number of temporary telesales positions that offer part time employment for stay at home mums, college students and even qualified high school students. Most of these jobs are presale jobs where the telemarketer simply calls potential customers to inform them about new products on the market or in some cases of big sales a company may be having. These types of telesales jobs usually last a few days to a few weeks.

For those who are interested in a career in telesales these jobs can be found all over the U.K. Taking the time to research who is hiring and what the jobs entail can help you find the best telesales job for you.
